Elderly Gwbert man missing after going out on boat

A search is under way for a 90-year-old man who is missing after going out on his boat off the Ceredigion coast.

Arthur Roy Taylor was last seen leaving to take his boat out to sea off Gwbert boat club at about 09:30 BST on Saturday.

Dyfed-Powys Police said Mr Taylor's boat has been found but he is still unaccounted for.

Police are coordinating a search of the area, working with the coastguard and RNLI.

Mr Taylor has been described as 5ft 4in tall, of slim build with grey hair and was wearing a navy jumper and a dark grey waterproof jacket.

Police have appealed for anyone who sees Mr Taylor or knows of his whereabouts to call 101.
