Radio to go digital in Wrexham, west Cheshire and Liverpool

Plans to broadcast BBC Radio Wales and Radio Cymru and other commercial stations on DAB digital radio in north east Wales have been announced.
Transmitters at Moel-y-Parc, near Denbigh, and Wrexham will be used when the service starts in November.
The announcement was made by MuxCo, which bids for new DAB digital licences and forms partnership deals with local stations to create a multiplex.
The company said it hoped to extend the DAB service across north and mid Wales.
The new multiplex will serve listeners across north east Wales, Liverpool and west Cheshire. A transmitter at St John's Beacon, Liverpool, will also be used.
The multiplex will broadcast BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru, 107.6 Juice FM, Real Radio and Dee 106.3.
'Tune in'
A BBC Cymru Wales spokesperson said: "We welcome this announcement. It means that from November, audiences in north east Wales will be able to listen to BBC Cymru Wales' national stations, Radio Cymru and Radio Wales digitally."
MuxCo said the deal will allow the existing services to both broadcast in digital quality and be heard by a wider audience.
And it said Nation Radio, based in Cardiff, will become Wales' second national commercial station as it plans to move into the north of the country by utilising the service.
No one was available for comment at the station on Monday.
MuxCo managing director Gregory Watson said the company also held licences for north and mid Wales and hoped to announce similar services soon.
"We're excited that some of the area's favourite stations and some new radio choices are going to be available for listeners across Liverpool, Cheshire and north Wales.
"We're pleased that listeners can now tune in to stations on digital radio locally from November."
