Councillors in Denbighshire have voted to continue with the controversial closure of a rural primary school.

Ysgol Llanbedr will close on 31 August, with 22 existing full-time and seven part-time pupils transferring to Ysgol Borthyn in Ruthin.

There have been objections from staff, parents and local politicians saying the school has had 15 applications for September and is oversubscribed for nursery places.

The closure is part of a local review.
