Firefighters in Denbighshire were called to rescue a horse that got stuck chest-deep in water and mud.

The horse got stuck in a stream known as the 'Prestatyn Gutter' near Marine Road East in the town.

Firefighters from Prestatyn and an animal rescue team from Colwyn Bay were called at 16:27 BST on Monday.

A vet was called to assist until the animal was freed unharmed in an hour long operation using straps and a winch.
