20mph school speed zones signs go up in Flintshire
- Published
Speed restrictions signs have been put up outside half the schools in Flintshire in time for the start of the new term with the remainder due to be complete by October.
The 20mph signs are now displayed at 40 of the county's 83 schools in a move to improve road safety.
The go-ahead was given by the Welsh government in July.
Flintshire councillor Bernie Attridge said it was a major step forward in protecting the safety children.
The move will cost about £50,000.
Resurfacing work has also been completed outside schools in Connahs's Quay, Mold and Flint.
