Search for singer to join Sir Bryn Terfel at eisteddfod

Sir Bryn's career has taken him all over the world

A search has been launched to find a young singer to perform with Sir Bryn Terfel and two other global opera stars.

The award-winning bass baritone will be starring in the classic opera, Tosca, at Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, Denbighshire, this summer.

Organisers are looking for boy sopranos or trebles to audition for the role of the shepherd boy.

Sir Bryn was knighted by the Queen on Tuesday.

Lithuanian tenor Kristian Benedikt and Latvian soprano Kristine Opolais will also star in the concert in July, which will be part of the festival's 70th anniversary celebrations.
