A man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and affray following an armed police incident that closed a Flintshire school.
Officers were called to Maes Alaw, Flint, at about 07:10 BST Friday after reports of a man behaving in an aggressive and threatening manner.
Nearby homes were evacuated, St Mary's Catholic primary school was shut as a precaution and two roads were closed.
A 25-year-old man has now been arrested and police said nobody was hurt.
Trained negotiators had been sent to speak to him, with the decision taken to close St Mary's Primary for the day as a precaution after Ffordd Llewelyn outside was closed.
North Wales Police Ch Insp Simon Barrasford said: "We appreciate that this incident has caused significant disruption in the area.
"It has now concluded safely and no one has been hurt."
The surrounding roads were reopened at about 12:30 BST.
