Theatr Clwyd secures £1m for redevelopment designs

One of Wales's most prestigious theatres has secured more than £1.3m of funding for the design and development of a major redevelopment.
Theatr Clwyd, near Mold in Flintshire, will has secured £1m from the Arts Council of Wales (ACW) and £330,000 from Flintshire council.
The theatre estimates the redevelopment will cost a £30m and "ensure the company's future sustainability".
The council said it was an "extremely important development".
Theatr Clwyd's executive director Liam Evans-Ford added the funding was to be "applauded" as the theatre looks to "ensure future generations benefit from the creative work made here in north east Wales".
