A black bin collection once every three weeks has been given the green light by councillors on Anglesey.

Members of the executive committee approved the proposal on Monday in "a bid to meet recycling targets".

The move will see £509,000 spent on new recycling boxes, a new baling machine for collected plastics at the Gwalchmai site and consultants "to encourage greater recycling".

The changes will come into force in October.

Collections for food and green waste will stay the same.
