Congestion on the A55 after a chemical spill

Part of the A55 in Conwy county remains closed after a chemical spill from a tanker.

The road was closed in both directions between junction 21 at Colwyn Bay and junction 22 at Llanddulas on Tuesday morning.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said 27,000 litres (6000 gallons) of chemical were spilt and specialist teams were helping with the clean up.

Fire engines and an incident response vehicle are at the scene.

North Wales Police said the road remained closed with no estimate as to when it would reopen.
