A walker who died after falling from a mountain in Snowdonia has been named as 35-year-old Kenneth Steven Hands.

Mr Hands of Oldbury, near Birmingham, was killed when he fell while descending the narrow Crib Goch ridge at about 11:00 BST on Saturday.

An inquest will be held in future, but a date has not been confirmed.

Rescuers said Mr Hands fell a "significant" distance to his death after he and two friends were forced back by heavy snow.
