Wales NHS: More wait for scans and ultrasounds

The number of patients waiting longer than they should for diagnostic services such as MRI scans and ultrasounds in Wales rose by around 1,000 in December to just under 21,000.
It means 27.4% of patients - more than one in four - missed the eight week target to be seen.
The Welsh government statistics, external show the waiting lists had been on a downward trend throughout 2014.
Officials say December figures tend to rise as staff take Christmas holidays.
The numbers waiting had nearly trebled between 2011 and 2013, but the latest figure is down by nearly a quarter on the total for December 2013.
