Ken Skates: What is good for Nissan is good for Ford

The UK government should engage more meaningfully with Ford, Economy Secretary Ken Skates has said.

The company is projecting a reduction of 1,160 workers at its Bridgend base by 2021, according to a leaked document seen by BBC Wales.

Mr Skates also said that Brexit "does pose a very significant challenge for Ford in Bridgend".

Referring to assurances given by the UK government to another car company, he said: "What is surely good for Nissan is also good for Ford."
