Jack Sargeant: No greater tribute I could pay my dad

Newly-elected Jack Sargeant has been given a standing ovation in the Welsh Assembly as he vowed to continue the work of his late father Carl and seek justice for him.

The 23-year-old gave his first speech to the Senedd on Tuesday, a week after winning the by-election to succeed his father as AM for Alyn and Deeside.

First Minister Carwyn Jones faces an inquiry into his handling of the sacking of Carl Sargeant in November.

He was found dead four days after his dismissal as communities secretary amid allegations of inappropriate conduct towards women, which he denied.
