Plans unveiled for new Welsh language primary school in Swansea

Plans have been unveiled to build a new multi-million pound Welsh language primary school in Swansea.
It would involve demolishing Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Lon Las in the Llansamlet area and replacing the dilapidated buildings.
Parents, children and the community would be consulted before the plans are developed further.
The project would be jointly funded by the Welsh government and Swansea council.
Will Evans, the council's cabinet member for learning and skills, said: "The creation of a new school at Lon Las is a high priority for the council.
"The current buildings are old, in poor condition and are unsuitable for the age range of pupils being educated there. Consequently they are also increasingly expensive to maintain.
"By contrast, significant investment into the proposed new school would provide high quality teaching and learning facilities necessary to meet the expectations of pupils and staff in a 21st Century school.
