Thirty jobs have been secured after Mustang Marine was bought by a consortium

A boatbuilding and repair firm in Pembrokeshire has been bought, saving 30 jobs.

Mustang Marine, based at Pembroke Dock, fell into administration earlier this year after making significant losses when key contracts overran.

The consortium of nine individuals will continue with existing projects, including a tidal energy turbine in Ramsey Sound.

Administrators said it was "very good news" for the employees.

Alistair Wardell, from administrators Grant Thornton, said: "Their jobs are now secure and the new owners are confident that the business will now grow with the aim of taking on further employees in the near future."
