46,000 solar panel farm in Cwmavon, Port Talbot, passed

The site will have almost 46,000 panels on 81 acres of land near Port Talbot

Plans to build a solar park the size of 45 football pitches have been approved by Neath Port Talbot council.

Eco Energy World Limited will build nearly 46,000 panels on 81 acres of land at Tyle'r-fedwen Farm in Cwmavon, near Port Talbot.

The company said construction would take about 14 weeks and they wanted to employ 50 workers.

The site will be restored at the end of the energy plant's 25-year lifespan.
