The uncle of a schoolboy who died in a minibus crash outside his school will go on trial accused of making a fake charity collection in his name.

Neil Stokes, 42, from Porthcawl, appeared at Bridgend Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Ashley Talbot, 15, was hit by a minibus being driven by PE teacher Chris Brooks outside Maesteg School on 10 December.

Mr Stokes denied fraud by false representation and will stand trial in March.
