Oldham miracle 'bag of sugar' baby goes home with mum

A tiny premature baby given a 50/50 chance of survival by doctors has gone home after six months in a Manchester hospital.

Elizabeth Phiri was born in June at 23 weeks, weighing less than a bag of sugar - and was so delicate her mum Gitta could not cuddle her for a month.

They're back home in Oldham now, though, and Gitta wants to thank all of the midwives and doctors at St Mary's Hospital for their fantastic work.
