Donald Trump described in detail the moment he narrowly avoided being hit by an assassin's bullet at a campaign rally on Saturday.

Many in the crowd at the Republican convention were in tears as he told the arena there was blood pouring everywhere.

"In a certain way I felt very safe, because I had God on my side," he said.
