Drone footage captures low water levels at reservoir

Drone footage has captured low water levels at a reservoir in Derbyshire after a drought hit the East Midlands.

A drought was declared in the region, and four other parts of England, on 12 August and could last until the end of autumn, the Environment Agency has said.

Severn Trent Water said the levels at Carsington Water had dropped by 15% in six weeks.

The conditions have also affected events at the site, including the cancellation of a triathlon event in July.
