Club helps children celebrate Albanian heritage

A children's club dedicated to celebrating Albanian heritage has been set up in London to help young people learn more about their culture.

The club, thought to be the first of its kind, was started by Sanda Eglite in May 2023 after she secured funding and support for the project and gave up much of her time to make it happen.

Over 100 children now attend the weekly weekend club and where they learn about the language, Albanian history, traditions and much more.

Sanda has been nominated for a BBC Radio London Make a Difference award for her hard work and dedication.
