'Seal made me feel like a paddleboard princess'

A paddleboarder "felt like a Disney princess" when a seal started playing with her off the North Sea coast.

Natalia Kochalska, 21, was paddling with her mother off Flamborough, East Yorkshire, on Saturday when the curious creature approached her.

"It was really interested in the paddle and it looked like it just wanted to play," she said.

Ms Kochalska, who took up paddleboarding last year, said it was her first such close encounter.

"It was just a really cute experience," she added. "It kind of looked like it was already used to people, so maybe it happened before, but for us it was so exciting."
