'I don't want to lose mum', says girl in 999 call

An emotional 999 call made by a 10-year-old girl who saved her mum's life has been released.

Phoebe Gibbs rang for an ambulance after her mum Leanne collapsed at home in Whetstone, Leicestershire, last August.

Phoebe, who was described by her mum as an "Earth angel", was presented with a bravery award by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) at a school assembly on Friday.

Offering advice to other children, Phoebe said: "Always go with that little voice inside of you and go with what you believe in your heart.

"If something's not right, then ring 999 straight away."
