Bereaved dad's Great North Run keepy-uppies quest

A bereaved dad is hoping to complete the Great North Run while performing keepy-uppies with a football along the entire route.

Jesse James, 51, from Chester-le-Street, is raising funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of his daughter Jessica who passed away from leukaemia.

He has been going to his local park at 05:00 to put in hours of training before he goes to work.

This will be the first time Jesse has taken part in the worlds largest half marathon and he hopes to complete his unusual challenge in about five hours.
