Questions surround cause of fatal train crash

People in a mid Wales village remain in shock following a train crash in which one man died, BBC Wales reporter Mari Grug says from the scene.

A further 15 people were taken to hospital with injuries after the collision near the village of Llanbrynmair, in Powys.

There are lots of questions around the cause of the collision and one of the trains is stationary about a mile (1.6km) from where the two trains usually cross.

One of the trains was travelling from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth and the other from Machynlleth to Shrewsbury.
