Artist paints lounge mural in tribute to woman, 25

Welsh street artist Tee2Sugars has painted a mural of Demi Mabbitt on the lounge wall of her parents' home.

The 25-year-old from Merthyr Tydfil was killed when her boyfriend, a disqualified driver, crashed into a garden wall and fled the scene. He was jailed for 10 years in 2024.

Tee, who's also from Merthyr Tydfil, says Demi's father, Paul, got in touch and asked that he create an image of his daughter and her dog.

"When I do murals like this, it's a celebration of life, remembering all the good moments," says the artist.

"Paul was over the moon with the result.

"It was quite a touching moment to see him when the mural was finished."
