La Mon investigation 'really challenging for the families'

Lost records into the La Mon bombing has made the investigation "really challenging", victims' families have said.

A report from Northern Ireland's Police Ombudsman has found that an "earnest endeavour" was made to bring those responsible for the bombing to justice.

However, it has been unable to explain why records from the original police investigation were lost.

The IRA attack on 17 February 1978 led to the loss of 12 lives while more than 30 people were injured, including the parents of Andrea Nelson.
