'We could see parts of the roof going past the kitchen window'

Homeowners throughout Northern Ireland are still picking up the pieces after Storm Éowyn brought widespread damage last week.

Tracey and Tam McMahon, who live outside Coalisland, County Tyrone, lost the roof of their house.

Ms McMahon described seeing parts of the roof of their home "flying past the kitchen window".

Extensive damage was also caused to the energy network.

Thousands of people remain without power, and specialist engineers have arrived from England to help get those who have lost power reconnected.
