Masked band step in to save social club

A band made up of anonymous balaclava-wearing musicians is fighting to "prolong the closure" of its local social club.

Teesside's Perfect Chicken, which has members from Lazenby, says their "little stomping ground" is struggling to keep its doors open.

Last year the band, which says it remains faceless so audiences can "focus on the music", hosted an all-day gig dubbed Save The Social, which they say raised much-needed funds for the venue.

After the successful fundraiser in 2024, the band is preparing for another which will see Lazenby Social Club host multiple groups throughout 5 July.
