'It's a dream to play for Wales, even at 75'

Every budding sportsperson dreams of representing their country and for some that comes true - even if they had to wait a little longer.

Some of Wales' best footballers over the age of 70 are aiming for global glory as the Veterans World Cup is staged in Cardiff.

The event also includes teams from Australia, Denmark, England, Germany, Norway, and the USA and takes place over four days between 20 and 23 August.

"None of us ever thought we would represent Wales but here we are, in our 70s, and we're doing it. It's fantastic," said captain Mark Entwistle, 75.
