Slow hand claps for Liz Truss as former PM loses seat

A number of senior figures from the Conservative Party have lost their seats, including Liz Truss.

While the returning officer waited to read out the results, people gathered in the hall slow clapped while they waited for the former prime minster to arrive onto the stage.

Eventually Ms Truss joined the other candidates to hear she had lost her South West Norfolk seat to Labour's Terry Jermy.
