'Diva' cat ignores Tesco ban
Six months after he was told to stay away from his local supermarket, a pet cat has continued to flout his ban.
Lincoln, known as the Tesco Cat, was told to stop visiting the branch in Hornsea, East Yorkshire last November over "health and safety" concerns.
But the moggy can still be seen on most days welcoming shoppers, mooching around the store and hanging around the car park.
A Tesco spokesperson acknowledged Lincoln's "local celebrity" status but said staff will "gently encourage him out" if he makes his way inside the store.
Since his ban was reported last year, Lincoln has amassed thousands of followers on social media.
Lorraine Clarke, Lincoln's owner, said her pet is a "bit of a diva" and does not think he will change his ways: "The ban has never been officially rescinded and he's still there. He's living his best life."
