Watch: Police dog finds suspect in wheelie bin
Bodycam footage has shown the moment a police dog found a suspect hiding in a wheelie bin.
Nottinghamshire Police said the dog, called Seth - a four-year-old Belgian Malinois, was deployed in the early hours of Wednesday after two people fled from a car that had failed to stop.
After briefly pausing in Fernwood Crescent, the force said the driver sped off, prompting a pursuit that ended when the car crashed into the driveway of a property in Central Avenue.
One suspect was detained nearby but another, who was also in the car, hopped over a series of garden fences before eventually being found inside the wheelie bin.
Sgt Nicholas Dachtler, of the force's dog section, said: "Seth showed admirable determination to continue the search and soon led his handler to a suspect hiding in an unusual location."
Two men, 30 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of a series of offences.
A knuckle duster was recovered from the car, along with a small quantity of suspected Class A drugs, police added. Both men were later released on bail.
