Watch: Driver jailed for using car as a 'weapon'

A man has been jailed for using his car as a "weapon" and deliberately driving into a man on a moped.

Omar Harris, 33, of no fixed address, crashed his Kia into the rider just after 14:00 BST on 1 August in Eagle Way, in Northstowe, near Cambridge.

The victim, in his 20s, suffered superficial injuries to his legs, arms and back.

Harris was jailed for two years and three months at Peterborough Crown Court after pleading guilty to attempted grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.

Det Con Callum Fullwood, who investigated, said: "The level of violence used by Harris in this case was appalling."
