Team of painters scale bridge to ward off rust

What does it take to protect the Tamar Bridge from rust?

Tamar Crossings has released new footage of workers painting the bridge connecting Devon and Cornwall.

Engineering director Richard Cole said its location above the Tamar River meant "the steel tends to corrode quite a lot".

The amount of paint needed to protect the bridge in its entirety would cover about 10 football pitches, Tamar Crossings said.
