The herd of alpacas bringing joy to care homes
A herd of alpacas are bringing joy to care homes and nurseries as part of a therapy service.
Alpaca at Daisy Farm, Solihull, is home to six alpacas that help to provide therapeutic walks and reduce the stress of visitors.
Owner Camille McDonnell decided to launch the service after noticing everybody around her was "miserable" at the end of lockdown during the Covid pandemic.
The alpacas also visit hospitals, women's refuges and mental health facilities, with Ms McDonnell adding that the animals calm people's mood.
