'I'm very proud of our journalists' says outgoing BBC director general

Outgoing BBC director general Tim Davie spoke to waiting reporters outside New Broadcasting House in London.

"I'm very, very proud of our journalists in this building. I want to thank every one of them," he said, adding: "They're doing a wonderful job".
