Giant 'runaway' pumpkin blocks road in Ohio

Bay Village police in Cleveland, Ohio, have responded to an unorthodox call for assistance - a giant inflatable pumpkin blocking the road.

"Once backup officers arrived, the pumpkin was returned to the homeowner," the police department said.

No harm was done to officers or the pumpkin during the incident, it added.

Anticipation is building across North America ahead of Halloween on 31 October.
