London market recycling hub hoping to reduce waste
A volunteer-led initiative in west London is hoping to create a sustainable and better future for everyone by encouraging people to reuse and recycle old items.
The Acton Market Reduce and Recycle hub runs once a month, tackling waste reduction and encouraging residents to extend the lifespan of existing items, avoid unnecessary purchases, and recycle clothes, small electrical items, and books.
The hub and its dedicated volunteers have been nominated for a BBC Radio London Make a Difference award.
