London bus crashes into taxi and dental clinic

Dashcam footage has emerged of a bus crash in central London.

The video, sent to the BBC, appears to show a Number 3 double decker bus turning right into a road near Westminster and immediately hitting a black taxi waiting at the junction.

The taxi is then seen being pushed on to the pavement as the bus careers into a dental clinic on the corner of Marsham Street and Great Peter Street.

It happened on Tuesday at about 13:30 BST.

London Ambulance Service attended and took one person to hospital while London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to the scene to ensure the safety of the building following the impact.

The building sustained minor damage, LFB said.

Rosie Trew, head of bus service delivery at Transport for London said: "We're working with bus operator Transport UK to investigate the cause of a collision on Great Peter Street.

"Our thoughts are with the one person who is believed to have been injured and with anyone else impacted by this distressing incident. We have support available for anyone affected."
