Pork pie shop's unique creations for Christmas

Families around Leicestershire will be tucking into a very special tradition on Christmas morning - a pork pie for breakfast.

Food historians are unsure why this unique tradition sprung up in the East Midlands, but it seems to have been popularised by Nottinghamshire writer D.H. Lawrence.

Whatever the reason, for many people Christmas doesn't begin until they've enjoyed a slice of pie.

Now, Hinckley-based deli Fodder and Chisit, is taking its pies to the next level by offering a personalised message in the crust.
