Watch: Key moments from Rayner's political career
Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has resigned after failing to pay enough tax on a flat in Hove.
The MP for Ashton-under-Lyne referred herself to the prime minister's ethics adviser earlier this week, after admitting underpaying stamp duty on her £800,000 flat.
In her resignation letter, Rayner said she took "full responsibility" for the "error" of not seeking further tax advice on the purchase.
The ethics report finds Rayner breached the ministerial code and "did not heed the caution" in legal advice she received.
Angela Rayner rose to the office of Deputy Prime Minister after starting work as a care worker for Stockport Council, getting involved as a union representative with Unison and swiftly rising through the Labour Party's ranks under former leader Jeremy Corbyn.
The Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, made her the deputy prime minister when Labour won last year's general election.
