World champion given permission to whistle in Burlington Arcade
The world whistling champion, Geert Chatrou, has made history by being granted the rare honour of being allowed to whistle inside the Burlington Arcade. The Circque du Soleil performer becomes only the third person ever to be given permission to do so.
The central London shopping destination, famous for its high-end shops and peaceful atmosphere, has only made such an exception twice before, once for Sir Paul McCartney and also for a young boy in 2011.
Speaking to BBC London, Mr Chatrou said: "In my life now I will be mentioned in this one sentence together with Paul McCartney. How did that happen?"
