Singer spots Welsh influence in Dolly Parton music

Singer Bronwen Lewis says she always knew there was "something extra" that she loved about Dolly Parton.

After hearing about the country music star's Welsh roots, Bronwen - who hosts a country show on BBC Radio Wales - has spotted some influences in her music.

"They're very similar to folk and Celtic music, not just country. I feel like it would make sense that she has heritage here," she said.

"I have been inspired by Dolly Parton my whole life. I always say there are two main women in my life, my mother and Dolly Parton."
