'The punch displayed his authenticity' - Alan Johnson

Former Home Secretary Alan Johnson has paid tribute to his friend the late John Prescott.

He told the BBC that Prescott said what he thought and that he didn't "dress it up."

Talking about the incident in which he punched a man who threw an egg at him in 2001, he added, "John wasn’t going to turn the other cheek. That was John, that was his background."
