Volunteers keen to showcase landmark building

Volunteers at a landmark building in the centre of Birmingham have said they are keen to show it off during the city's heritage week.

The horseshoe-shaped Grade II* listed Roundhouse was built in the 19th Century as a stables and stores and was restored from 2013.

As part of Birmingham Heritage Week, which runs until Sunday, special tours have been organised at the building and around the nearby canals.

One of the volunteers, Betty Cowley, said she could not wait to show members of the public around as "the visitors make the job for me".
