Cat 'doing fine' after rescue from drainpipe

A cat that made headlines when she was rescued after getting stuck in a drainpipe is back home and recovering well, its owner has said.

Female cat John needed to be cut free by firefighters after getting wedged in the pipe in her owner Cassie's garage.

She was partially freed and then taken to a local vet to have the rest of the pipe removed.

"The looks we got in the waiting room when we walked through with the cat stuck in a pipe and the firefighters - it was funny," Cassie said.
