Teen with rare condition given 3,000 football scarves

A football-mad teenager living with a very rare and life-limiting genetic disorder has received more than 3,000 football scarves from around the world.

Alfie Lund, from Burscough in Lancashire, has MECP2 duplication syndrome, a condition which means he cannot go to watch matches in crowded stadiums.

Mark Lund, who wanted to raise awareness of his 16-year-old son's condition and thought the scarf appeal could help.

Thousands of people have sent scarves to Alfie.
