Heywood's death reveals murky side of Chinese politics

As China's communist party admits that Neil Heywood may have been murdered, there are further questions about the involvement of the Chinese establishment.

The 41-year-old British businessman was found dead in a hotel in Chongqing on 15 November. At the time local officials initially said he died of excessive drinking.

There are now questions about whether he was murdered as part of an internal power struggle within the party.

Details are also emerging of the murky dealings of Bo Xilai, the politician who has been sacked as part of China's biggest political scandal in decades.
